Ronald Byaruhanga is a co-founder of Climate Impact Initiative. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Sustainability Science at Lund University, Sweden.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University, as well as dual Master’s degrees—one in Social Work and Human Rights and another in Global Studies, both from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
Ronald’s PhD research is dedicated to sustainable agricultural development, with a particular focus on smallholder agriculture, food sovereignty, agroecology, rural agrarian politics, social movements, and agrarian transformation. He is deeply passionate about addressing the challenges of climate change through interdisciplinary and critical problem-solving approaches.
